At Tom Nob, our first goal is to identify the best in good humor. Our second goal is to deliver it in a format that works best for you. As we detail in The Wonderful World of Widgets, there is a boatload of free, streaming digital content available to users of Tom Nob. Just click and you begin to experience the entertainment immediately. While we provide you with the full product whenever possible, there are many instances where only a sampling is available. Or in other cases the streaming content convinces you that you want to own it but in a different format. Whatever the case may be, the rapid changes in technology are resulting in an ever-expanding array of formats to choose from when buying an entertainment product and we endeavor to make all these options available to you.
By hovering your mouse over the link next to each option, you will view more information about the product including price, availability, and average customer review.
If you want to proceed with a purchase, click on Buy Now and a new window will open and you will be at Amazon.com.
If you click on the hard copy option, the purchasing process is similar to any other item sold on Amazon and should appear familiar to you. When you click on the download digital version for the first time, the process will look different.
A trailer of the film usually starts playing automatically and you will see the options that are available for that film: buy the movie or a 24 hour rental. Click on the option you want and Amazon will walk you through the purchase process.
Similar to film, buying a hard copy of a television show should be a familiar process while buying a download digital version looks different.
Unlike a film where you might have a choice as to how long you want to own the digital version (24 hours or permanently), with television downloads your choices focus on which episode you want to own and if you want it in normal or high definition. Amazon also offers you the option of buying a “pass” which includes all episodes for a specific season.
With books, the purchase process for both the hard copy and the download version looks the same. It’s the delivery method that’s different. If you are a new Kindle user, the Amazon site will walk you through the steps of loading the digital version onto your Kindle.
Similarly, purchasing a hard coy or a download version of an audio product works the same. Other than the delivery method, the only real difference is that you can choose to purchase one song/track, the whole album or anything in between.
As you can see from the screenshots above, Amazon is the primary merchant partner of Tom Nob. We are a member of their affiliate program which means that Tom Nob receives a small referral commission from any sale made by a customer who arrives at Amazon via Tom Nob. While Amazon knows that the customer arrived from Tom Nob, no other information about the customer is transferred or delivered. If Amazon appears to recognize you, it is because there is a cookie on your computer placed there by Amazon during a prior transaction or as part of their sign-up process.
